🔥 It started with a feeling
There’s something I’ve been wanting to say for a long time.
A message that needs to be heard — especially by learners misled by glossy labels and empty slogans.
Too often, we hear:
“Only a native speaker can teach a language properly.”
But… is that really true?
💡 The myth we keep repeating
The “native speaker” label is often treated like a golden ticket.
But in the classroom, it doesn’t guarantee anything — not clarity, not empathy, and certainly not effective teaching.
Being a native speaker means you learned a language naturally.
It does not mean you can explain it.
It does not mean you can break it down for learners.
It does not mean you understand how it feels to learn a language as an adult.
👩🏫 So what makes a great language teacher?
A great teacher knows what it’s like to struggle — and how to help you through it.
They understand the stages of learning, what learners need at each level, and how to adapt their approach.
✔ They know how to listen
✔ They know how to encourage
✔ They know how to explain, clearly and with purpose
✔ They offer structure, not just conversation
In short:🧠 Experience + pedagogy > native label
🎯 Why this matters for you
If you’re learning a language — or thinking about it — you deserve more than a pretty accent.
You deserve a teacher who knows how to guide you toward real communication.
Learn with a teacher who can:
– assess your needs
– adapt to your pace
– and help you gain confidence — step by step.
That’s how you move from studying a language to truly living it.
🐸 What started as a spark…
…has now become a movement.
